Robotic Partial Nephrectomy (Removal Of Mass From Kidney)
GENERAL UROLOGY-Not all conditions are rare and complex. In fact, urinary system conditions are some of the most common health problems that people face.
UROLOGIC ONCOLOGY- Cancers of the urinary and male reproductive systems are among the most common cancers in the United States. The key to successful treatment involves early diagnosis and access to the most modern and comprehensive treatment options. The University of Arizona brings together a multidisciplinary team of physicians for treatment of prostate, kidney, bladder, penile, and testicular cancers. The university combines disciplines including urologic oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, interventional radiation, and pathology as well as conducts clinical trials in order to provide comprehensive care for patients from all walks of life.
Kidney Stone Disease Program- Kidney stone disease affects 10 percent of the population and most commonly presents with severe pain from stone passage. Patients with a history of stones have a 50 percent risk of forming another stone, making prevention a key component of effective kidney stone treatment.
FEMALE PELVIC MEDICINE & RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY PROGRAM- Problems with the urinary system can create serious health issues and can dramatically impact all areas of your life. Our goal is to improve quality of life so that you can better focus on your responsibilities and living a life you enjoy.
Male Voiding Dysfunction & Reconstructive Surgery- Male voiding dysfunction can include many problems including the need to urinate too frequently, difficulty urinating from an enlarged prostate, urinary leakage from a prior surgery or other condition, and urethral stricture disease.
Pediatric Urology- A number of urologic conditions are fairly common at birth and/or in children. Treatment options vary widely depending on the nature of the problem, the age of the child, the persistence of the problem, and other factors. Treatment may include behavioral therapy, medications, or surgery.
Robotic Urologic Surgery - Several urologic surgeons at the University of Arizona are fellowship-trained and specialized in robotic urologic surgery, offering patients cutting-edge, minimally invasive robotic surgical treatments for a variety of urologic diseases.
