Academic Professional Bio: 

Roger Nellans, MD, is a urologic surgeon specializing in general urology and men's health. He earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed a general surgery residency and a urology residency at the University of California, Irvine.

Dr. Nellans has more than 40 years experience in clinical and private practice, more than 30 of which took place in an academic setting. After completing his urology residency, he joined the faculty at the University of Washington School of Medicine, where he served for 31 years. He joined the UA Department of Surgery as a faculty physician in December 2018.

In addition to his extensive clinical experience, Dr. Nellans remains active in research and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of the American Urological Association and the American Association of Clinical Urologists.
